An MTV report says Chris Brown is gearing for a re-release of his platinum-plus album Exclusive. Set to drop on June 3, Exclusive: The Forever Edition will include a remix, three brand new tracks, and a DVD. One of the new tracks, “Forever,” will be the next single, while other new additions will feature cameos from Bow Wow, Hurricane Chris and Keri Hilson.

MTV has revealed that the R&B/Pop sensation Chris Brown is set to top line a basketball drama feature titled "Phenom". Chris says, "Basketball is my thing, other than singing and dancing, and that's what I'm gonna show the world," so Brown told MTV News while remarking that casting is in progress and that he is trying to have "Training Day" helmer Antoine Fuqua onboard to direct. Exact date for production start has not been known yet, but Brown is noted to expect filming on the picture can begin by early 2008 for a late 2008 or early 2009 release.

Chris Brown will be performing at the Essence Music Festival. The three-day festival is set to take place July 4-6. It is billed as "the nation's largest annual African-American event celebrating Black music and culture." Also set to perform are Mary J. Blige, Chris Rock, Kanye West, Jill Scott and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Additional artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
